Barack Obama’s cringe-inducing “Me, too” moment with his troop bracelet –given to him by the mother of a soldier whose name he can’t remember without having to look down and read it. The name of the soldier is Ryan David Jopek.

Bible Verse of the Day:
And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down–that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: ‘Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. Revelation 12:7-10 TNIV

I noticed the moment with the bracelet. However I was not as concerned about the momentary memory lapse about the soldiers name. I felt more uncomfortable with the decision to bring up the fact that he also had a bracelet. It somehow cheapened the intention and meaning behind it. I understand why he wanted to do so, but as a strategy, it didn’t work for me.
I agree with the above comment and was almost expecting a foot stomp as Obama cried, “Me too.” I also envisioned similar foot stomps each time he said, “Not true.” And Obama, there are far more mother’s who would be giving bracelets to McCain over you.
